Excellent Replacement for SWCG half unions

One of the half unions on the Intellichlor IC-20 SWCG was cracked. Cutting the PVC piping to install new half unions was not an easy option. So I opted for the split half unions. Bottom line: the leak was solved (fingers crossed). My concern was that the thread pitch on the split unions might not be the same as the pitch on the SWCG. The fit was snug. So I loosened the screws on the split union just enough to seat the o-ring. Then I tightened the screws. The only reason I give it a 4-star rating was due to the snug fit of the threads & the fact that I installed the product an hour ago.
